Super Bowl will turn anything that gets in his way into soup! Yeah I know you look at this and go "what the......" bare with me I am still learning. It is far easier to scan illustrations in the computer. I promise I will get better.
It is easiest for me to plan my compostitions before hand and draw it on paper and then scan it and draw it in the computer. Especially when using illustrator it helps to add some life. I know you are learning the medium but don't for get to use the basics. I remember once when I was trying to do something for a class and it was an assignment on illustrator with just shapes. Bro. Franson critiqued and and aked me where the focal pt. was. and I thought "Oh right a focal pt. duh" Any way what I mean by that is plan out a good illustration with great composition etc. and then worry about how it ill work with the medium. Decide what you want to say with your illustration, what is the story or idea and then decide the best way to say it (composition wise. ) Then spend time on the computer figuring out how to make it work. Then at least you spend time doing something you like. Then if all else fails you can scrap the digital and paint the fun illustration you planned out so carefully in some other medium you are more comfortable with when Bro Franson is not looking. So sorry I think this is the longest comment in the world and maybe doesn't make sense so sorry.
No. It's not a game. It's not the hugest sports event of the year. It's not a million-dollar 30-second TV spot. It's not even a chance to see Janet Jackson's breast. It's evil's newest worst nightmare! It's the SUPER BOWL! Nice idea. As an illustration... You just need to start over with a good drawing. No matter how crappy a person's skills are on the computer, or in any area of art (color, painting, refining, whatever), as long as there's a good drawing beneath it all, it's makes all the difference. (at least in my opinion) Draw it free hand, then scan it, and use that as a guide on the computer.

This is a very funny idea, but it's unfinished. I wish you had at least used the design of an interesting bowl. Find some reference, it will help.
